Join us for a relaxed summer morning at A Simple Life Homestead as we gather around the table and explore simple ways to preserve and enjoy the abundance of the season.

July is often filled with vacations, family gatherings, and the busyness of summer. Because of that, we have chosen to offer just one special gathering this month, an opportunity to slow down and savor the simple pleasures of the season.

Join us for a relaxed morning at A Simple Life Homestead as we gather around the kitchen table and explore simple ways to preserve and enjoy the abundance of summer.

Together, we will create:

🌿 A flavorful herb butter using fresh summer herbs
🌿 A fragrant herb salt to enjoy all season long
🫐 A simple blueberry syrup with endless possibilities
šŸ„— A fresh berry vinaigrette for summer salads

We'll also enjoy a simple seasonal luncheon featuring homemade biscuits with herb butter, a garden-inspired salad, refreshing rhubarb lemonade, and strawberry-rhubarb cheesecake ice cream.

After our time in the kitchen, we'll take a leisurely stroll around the homestead to see what is growing in the gardens and on the vines while sharing stories of the season and the simple joys of living close to the land.

Each guest will leave with a small take-home basket containing herb butter, herb salt, blueberry syrup, and recipes and ideas for enjoying these simple seasonal flavors at home.

You don't need a homestead to enjoy these traditions. You simply need a desire to bring a little more simplicity, beauty, and seasonality into your home and around your table.

Space is limited to six guests to keep the experience personal and hands-on.

Advance registration and payment are required to reserve your seat. Payment may be made through the website, by Venmo, or by arranging to drop off cash or a check. To help us prepare and purchase supplies, cash or check payments must be received at least three days prior to the gathering.

Because materials and ingredients are purchased in advance and seating is limited, registrations for gatherings and experiences are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your registration to someone else.

A Simple Life Homestead

"Returning simple living skills to the heart of the home."

Nestled on generational land in Northern Maine, A Simple Life Homestead is a working homestead where the old ways are still the everyday ways. We believe that the simple skills our ancestors knew as ordinary life are worth learning, worth teaching, and worth passing on. Through hands-on workshops, homestead experiences, and a life lived simply on purpose, we invite others to return to the rhythms that matter most, growing, preserving, baking, gathering, and finding deep contentment in the unhurried work of tending a home. #SimpleLifeMovement
